Who Is CELBANPrep For?

CELBANPrep is for Internationally Educated Health Professionals

Who are developing the language, communication, and professional abilities they need to be licensed in healthcare in Canada.

It began with Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) preparing for the CELBAN.

That is still an important part of who we serve.

But the work has grown.

Today, CELBANPrep also supports Internationally Educated Health Professionals (IEHPs) who are developing English communication skills for healthcare practice, professional development, and their lives in Canada.

You may be preparing for the CELBAN.

You may already have taken it.

You may be preparing for another language assessment.

You may not need a language examination at all.

You may simply know:

“I need to become more confident communicating in healthcare in Canada.”

If that is where you are, there may be something here for you.

You Do Not Have to Arrive at the Same Place Everyone Else Does

There is no single CELBANPrep learner.

People arrive with different:

Some people arrive knowing exactly what they need.

Others are not sure where to begin.

Some have just heard the word CELBAN for the first time.

Others have taken the examination more than once.

Some have received their results and know they need to work on a particular skill.

Some have spent months studying and still feel as though they are going nowhere.

Some are working full-time.

Some are caring for children or family members.

Some are trying to study in the small spaces left between everything else they have to do.

Some have lost confidence.

Some are tired.

Some are determined.

Some are all of these things at once.
